As the generic age was starting once again for ITV, the Millennium was just around the corner. The Granada Media Group part of ITV commissioned idents to celebrate the arrival of the new Millennium, however due to the generic era starting off, the generic idents reigned supreme whilst these locally produced idents were merely consigned to history. Enjoy what could have been the Millennium on ITV here!

In the meantime, Xmas & Millennium versions of the ITV generic ident were also being made, and were adopted as being the main choice of ident for all including the GMG stations.
