| Back to the studio now, in a Question Time style (this is taking over their slot), with guests including David Blunkett, and Robin Oakley | Onto an OB now, this one based in Southend-on-Sea. This person really gave the interviewer a good ear-bashing in this report, about asylum seekers. | © BBC

| Another OB, this time from one of the hottest spots in London, the London Eye. This report features Anthony Worrall Thompson. Also note the use of the logo in the top right hand corner, I was quite worried when it said "London Eye and it pointed down to the interviewers eye! | Now towards the end of the scheduled broadcast, this is the state of play. David at this point also tells us that the by-election result and the Mayor of London result will not start to come in till at least 5.00am. However, in true BBC fashion, he says that the programme will return at 5.00am to announce these results. Not a lot happened between the two countdowns, a few more OB's and more chat in the studio. | So David closed the programme precisely at 2.00am (well he was about 6 seconds overdue.....and looking rather tired in this screenshot!) | © BBC
