Used for a year, a more neater version of the "Granada Stripe", which for some reason always reminds me of a Christmas ident!

Simplifying the "Granada Stripe" seemed to improve Granada's presentation into the 90's, with more variable use of their logo being displayed with the now extensive use of computer graphics.

Most regions took to the "Legal & General" sponsorship in the early 90's however, Granada continued to use their "1990" logo in the end cap into 1993, 2 years after it was last used as a main ident.

4th July 1993 - Independence Day Special

Granada used their local allowance well for this special day of programming for the celebration of Independence Day.  Features included the Second World War, featuring a small village named "Burtonwood", where I personally used to live very close to, in Warrington.  The location of the original "American" homes, and the airbase are still present in the village.

Christmas is a time for presents & joy, and when you're a television station, you bring out some new decorations for your beloved logo.  It's a shame it doesn't happen as much nowadays...

Hmm, traditional, standard, with wild colours.  Did Granada ever use image consultants?
